As with most of my paintings I choose a color theme and see what the result is. Most often it ends up with some kind of landscape, as it did in this case. But this painting came so naturally. Once the background was ready, it was obvious that it needed an owl. I chose a snowy owl because of the wintery atmosphere. And I was very happy with my first owl. The whole painting, actually. This painting is perfect for an owl lover. Maybe you are a night owl yourself? ;)
