This painting was at first a pouring painting that I wasn't happy with. It gave me no joy or meaning. So I decided to give the painting more personality and texture. And it became a mountain! The grouses are as always beautiful in a landscape like this, and they fit perfectly in the painting. As the artist I feel a bigger connection to the painting now, and I hope it can give you the same feeling.
